Is Reiki and the Quantum Touch basically the same in the effects of Chakras and the soul?

Monday, December 8th, 2008

I have two appts. one for Reiki and the other for The Quantum Touch, I have heard about Reiki, but, what about the other?

They're similar ways to manipulate the same energy. All alternative and complimentary therapies work to balance the energy of the body. Each imbalance in each individual resonates at a different frequency, even though it may be the same allopathic diagnosis. Therefore, individuals may respond differently to similar treatments. What works for some, may not work as well for others; or could work even better. Actually, the combination of the two therapies would be most effective.

Where can I offer Reiki treatment for free?

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

I just got done with all my training, and would like to offer this as a free service for a while at least. Where or how do I go about this?

Congratulations on beginning your study and exploration of Reiki. It is a wonderful practice that has changed my life.

I generally do not encourage students to offer “Free” Reiki because it does seem to cheapen the public view of Reiki.

That said, offering Community Service is a wonderful thing. Many hospitals today have a group of Reiki Volunteers to offer Reiki to the sick. They are rewarded with experience, a sense of community, and various other benefits depending on the hospital.

Some churches, such as Spiritualist or Unitarian (really depends on the specific church, but sometimes) offer Reiki Groups and opportunities for Reiki and other healers to offer sessions to their members.

There are various charities and charity events that would love volunteers. Talk to them, some may say yes, others may not know what you are talking about.

There are various Reiki Practitioners/Masters offering Reiki Shares/Healing Groups, Meditation Groups, Drumming Circles, and other events to share your gifts.

Talk with your Reiki Master/Teacher. They may have some ideas.

Finally, I started by sharing with family and also friends at college.

Good luck and Safe Journeys

How do you straighten out your energy field if it's off balance prior to beginning Reiki training?

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

My energy is WAY off balance. I would love to channel this energy, however I can't seem to get it straightened out. Crazy things happen when energy is wacky. This is a metaphysical technique. Grounding and centering doesn't seem to be enough.

I would find someone who is experienced in healing therapy.

Has anyone ever had a Reiki or Integrated Energy Therapy treatment?

Friday, December 5th, 2008

If so, what is it like, and did you have any weird experiences?

I've been practicing Reiki for 8 years now, and have had more than my fair share of treatments from fellow practitioners, and I have to say that some of the most dramatic spiritual experiences that I have had have been either while I was giving or receiving a Reiki treatment.

Granted, that the most common experiences are an extremely deep state of relaxation, and slipping into a dreamlike state of consciousness where the energy guides the inner visions.

That being said, I've had several shared visions during treatments - where both the practitioner and the recipient receive the same exact inner experiences. In one case I was receiving a treatment and when the practitioner got to my solar plexus chakra, in my mind's eye I suddenely saw a tunnel open in front of me. At the end of the tunnel I saw 2 little girls who were cousins walking hand-in-hand that I knew to be Dutch in the mid 1600's. I also just "knew" that I was the younger of the two girls. After the treatment the practitioner asked if she could share some of what she experienced, and I of course said yes. (I had not yet said a word, and was still "waking up" from the treatment.) She said that when she got to my solar plexus that she asked her guides to show her any information that would be most significant to the present moment. She then saw a tunnel and at the end of it were two little Dutch girls hand in hand, and that she was the older of the two and realized that I was the younger. We had shared a past life. I would have taken that report from her with a grain of salt, had I not experienced the EXACT SAME THING.

In another instance I was getting a treatment from another friend of mine, and in the middle of the treatment I thought I heard drumming. It became louder and louder until I went to open my eyes to see if there was music being played or what. When I did open my eyes, it was my inner eyes that opened and I found myself in a Native American village. There were men dancing around in celebration of a buffalo kill, and women cleaning the carcass. I heard an eagle call and looked upwards to see a giant eagle swopping down towards me. It came closer and closer in a dive, and as I ducked to avoid being hit, I flinched on the table and came out of the vision. After the treatment was over, again I hadn't yet said anything, my friend said that his spirit guides had offered to share a vision of their village, and he went on to describe the scene exactly as I had seen it. He then asked me if I had seen any eagles, and I said that I had. He smiled and said that he had asked his power animal, eagle, to bestow a blessing on me. Again, I was amazed.

In the course of giving treatments I have seen and communicated with recepient's guides and angels. I have also been "provided" with words or phrases that when I ask the recipient about them turn out to be extremely meaningful to the healing process.

These types of things are actually pretty normal for me when in an energetic healing environment. But clairvoyance and clairsentience runs in my family, so it may be more pronounced with me than with others. However, it is extremely common for practitioners and recipient's alike to have spiritual and psychic experiences during treatments.

Blessings on your journey!

Did a Reiki healing course? How would you describe yourself before, during and after the cleansing period.?

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

BEFORE: How did you feel, what was your attitude, were you healthy, was there anything you wanted to change about yourself?

DURING: How did you feel and describe any experiences during your self-healings?

AFTER: Is your outlook on life any different than when you started. How is your your physical, emotional and physical health? Did you have any problems during the cleansing period?

Hi there,

I'm a reiki level 2 practitioner.

Prior to receiving any attunments and committing to the path of reiki, I was a complete mess to put it simply. I had mood swings, depression, was in constant pain and was just generally pessimistic and egotistical (not a good combination!)

Reiki came to me when I was at my lowest ebb, a friend of mine who is reiki attuned gave me a session and there was no looking back from there. From that point I knew that it was for me.

I finally took my level 1 degree and during the process I had lots of powerful visions coming through, the attainment helped to strengthen my psychic abilities which came as a huge shock.

During the self healing and cleansing period for 1st Degree, I didn't have any major problems. It was when I went on to do the 2nd Degree that I had lots of visions, flashbacks, emotions, cold symptoms etc. and had a bit of a rough ride during that period. But then I came through it, trusting the energy and spirit would get me through this phase.

I treat people and animals now professionally and self treat on a daily basis. I absolutely love the journey that I am on. I find that I am a lot more positive and my outlook on life has changed completely for the better.

Blessings

Where can I go or look up to learn about Reiki healing?

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

It’s and interest of mine, as well as many other forms of alternative medicine. Thank you for your time.

I guess if you just want to learn about Reiki and Healing Arts in general, you can look it up online, read a book, or subscribe to a magazine. Tappan’s Handbook of Healing Massage Techniques by Frances M. Tappan & Patricia T. Benjamin is a fantastic resource about various bodywork styles, there are countless books on Reiki in any bookstore in the northeastern USA. There is also the Reiki News Magazine and associated website for good general information.
If you want to learn Reiki, the only real choice is to find a Reiki Master/Teacher. If you want to practice bodywork, I generally recommend that people get a valid license to practice in their state/country (here in the USA, it can be Massage Therapy, or in some states Polarity, Rolfing, or Reflexology).
