I'm not sure if it's secret, but I've always wondered. Do they show you how to direct the energy? Or the intention? Or do they do something to you that makes it possible for you to do Reiki? Do you have to take any vows? I'm just curious; I've had a lot of Reiki in my life and it seems simple, but if it was simple more people would do it.

Generally, to become a Reiki practitioner you take a class and get attunements for each level you choose to do.

Depending upon the teacher, they show you techniques as well as hand positions that are generally used for performing a Reiki session. This can vary from teacher to teacher.

An attunement is done to open one up to Reiki and to 'set' it into a person so that the flow will always be available to the person getting the attunement.

It is an intent based energy healing and enlightenment system.

You do not have to take any vows. It is not associated with any specific religion.

It really is simple. What is normally the problem is the cost that usually comes with Reiki attunements. This varies greatly and some charge quite a lot of money per attunement/level. There are a lot of Reiki Masters out there so you do have the ability to shop around for one that is right for you.

There are a variety of Reiki forms out now.

The most common seems to be Usui Reiki, which has 3 levels (some divide level 3 into two parts for those who are becoming Reiki Master/Teachers). I think this is always a good place to start as it is just working with the Reiki energy, not adding in any other healing energies.

A number of times in the morning recently I wake-up noticing the back of my head (hair) is soaked. I do get distance reiki done on me regularly during the overnite hours. Does it sound like it is related? If so, why my hair?

Energy work affects each recipient uniquely. It is certainly not out of the question that what you are experiencing is a result of the distance healing you are receiving. Sweating is one of the ways the body releases toxins, which is one of the intentions of alternative and complimentary therapies.

If you're not experiencing any discomfort or pain associated with this, I wouldn't worry too much. Your best bet is to check with your Reiki professional and ask them what their impressions are while they are sending you the energy. Many practitioners are sensitive to what their client is feeling and may be able to shed more light on the matter than anybody.

Does it signify anything if it occurs during a reiki session? It has happened to me on a number of occassions and sometimes I see pre-c_m too.

Obviously a normal reaction for you, but not for everyone. Reiki is distributing energy throughout the body and the sex chakra is the area your referring to. That's the major bottom chakra, so a lot of energy will be distributed there in a session. Maybe your healer is a bit unexperienced or just ask them to distribute the energy differently, so this doesnt happen. Regardless its a very effective healing strategy, so go with the flow.

Also remember to surround yourself with white light when you are going into a place with negative energy. I often forgot to do that myself and wonder why I am so drained afterwards or feelign bad. I need to give myself reminders too.

Im a Reiki 2 practitioner and I have heard tons of people say that most Reiki Practitioners heal from their heart chakra. What does this mean? When I do Reiki I just feel the energy project through me.
