Reiki Healing HIV/AIDS, Reaching the World

I recently spoke to a young man, a USA citizen, who was told to get his affairs in order” as he lay in the hospital with HIV/AIDS. Today, his HIV viral load is undetectable. He had been approached by a Reiki master while lying in the hospital bed. After receiving Reiki treatments, he learned Reiki himself, and is now helping some of the most disadvantaged, angry and impoverished people in the USA, which includes administering Reiki.

In my homestate of Washington State, Reiki is being embraced by Christian churches. Once disapproved by this establishment, a Washington State church declared they had received new information from God on this topic. They don’t call it Reiki, they call it the Holy Spirit, which, through loving intention, they place their hands on those in need, and universal life force, of which some of us simply call, “love,” passes into the recipients,  some of which are young men getting themselves into trouble with the law and society in general. They report they have seen it result in everything from miraculous physical cures to the reversal of harsh legal sentences.

A First Nations (aka Indian, Native American) woman who became attuned to Reiki reported that it enhanced all of her other native healing modalities. Reiki did not take away her traditions, but rather, enhanced them.

How is this happening? How can you benefit? As the world evolves and rises above its “us vs. them” separation, Reiki no longer seems to be a strange, exotic anti-Christ method developed by “them” (the Japanese). Rather, its Japanese name of Reiki stuck with it, but it is of the universe, of God, regardless of which one of His/Her people rediscovered it and named it. And, as more and more Reiki is given on earth, the more the earth rises to that higher ability to move from separation and ill-health to Oneness and pure health.

You can both receive Reiki treatments to help yourself rise into this higher plain, but you can also become attuned to give Reiki to yourself and others, even to the earth, plants and animals. Reiki is one of many beautiful healing modalities that works with and enhances all the others, from herbal remedies to relaxation response therapies to prayer. In Washington State, for example, there are many Reiki “circles” where practitioners give this Loving Energy to each other, as well as teachers who will attune and train you. Although considered by many to be “plan B,” there are also methods of self-attunement and distance attunement that can more easily fit into some people’s budget and schedule.

Use Reiki For Stress Relief On Your Wedding Day

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

I’m going to talk about stress management and how to cope. And especially your Wedding day. Stress is the state of mind most likely to spoil that special day, event or interview. Reiki is the ultimate ‘Stress Management Tool’ Channel Reiki Healing Energy to quieten the mind, quieten the mind and the body relaxes-releases: Release from the body is a cleared mind, being held in stillness and silence, with access to healing energy gives the whole ‘Self’ a window of opportunity for restoration..

Leading up to the Wedding day, if you can arrange for your guests, especially people close to the Bride and Groom, a Reiki treatment a few weeks before the big day. You will be amazed how stress free everyone is. To cope with the pressure the big day produces, you couldn’t do better, Reiki cannot guarantee the weather, but the reduction in stress will help you cope whatever that turns out to throw at you:-)

Stress has been a rising cause of sickness from work replacing bad backs as the main cause of absence. In total, more than 5 million working days a year are now list in the UK alone to complaints of stress.

I would say anything that reduces stress levels, I would give it a fair trial. I know many Brides that have had a Reiki session apx two weeks before the wedding, and then had a Reiki practitioner come to the house on the morning of the wedding day, working on the bride, the bridesmaids and especially the Mother of the bride. I know it makes a great deal of difference to how the big day has gone. The stress is relieved to a great extent to every-one’s relief.

I also know some businesses have a Reiki Therapist visit their company and have them give a short Reiki treatment as the employers sit at their desks - stress levels go down and productivity increases.

Doctors are fully aware of the presence of stress - they are particularly vulnerable to it themselves, and a growing number of GP practices have stress management counsellors on-board for patient referral. Hopefully as they become increasingly aware that emotional and psychological conditions respond remarkably well to complementary therapy, including Reiki, they are more likely to suggest an alternative, natural rout for some treatments.

Stress is basically how you perceive the demands and pressures that life presents, and how you are able to draw on your inner resources to cope. What you find unable to cope with today - you will take everything in your stride with Reiki.

There is no need for you to believe in Reiki - or, for that matter, in any other holistic healing system: It will still work! The five Precepts of Dr Mikao Usui can have a profound effect on lives, though Reiki is NOT a religion.

1. Just for today, do not worry.
2. Just for today, do not anger.
3. Honour your parents, teachers and elders.
4. Earn your living honestly.
5. Show gratitude to every living thing.

The point that the Reiki principles make, is the life force relies on the views and judgments that we practice and make known. In other words, if we think in a positive manner and try to feel only good feelings, such as caring or closeness, and dedicate our life to discipline and perseverance (as best we can) the life energy is profuse and the stress diminishes to that which we can cope with.

Cure almost any stressful conditions of the Mind Body or Spirit.

Exploring The Five Principles Of Usui Reiki

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

The practice of Reiki was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s.  It’s been argued as to whether Reiki is a spiritual system or a system of healing or both.  At it’s very essence Reiki is simply a method for connecting to and staying connected with the Universal Life Energy that is constantly surrounding us.  In doing so, Reiki helps its practitioners lead more focused, peaceful lives.  So, maybe it is a spiritual system, and maybe it does heal us.

At the heart of Reiki are 5 Principles that any serious practitioner will meditate on frequently and practice daily.  These Principles are not always easy to keep, but serve as an excellent guideline for conducting one’s life.  The 5 principles are as follows:

Just for today,

No Anger

No Worry

Be Grateful

Work Hard

Be Kind
This version is the most boiled down of all, and curiously, the most comprehensive.  Let’s look at each one.

No Anger - I will not anger, and I will endeavor not to cause anger.  I believe this refers to the non-productive type of anger that some of us feel occasionally, and some of us feel chronically.  It’s irritable anger, petty anger; anger that we think is somehow going to change a situation.  This does not refer to the anger you might feel over a crime or other serious injustice or harm.  I believe that the concept of No Anger also means endeavoring not to cause anger in others.  It is possible to be mindful of how our words and actions affect others, while still being true to ourselves and staying connected to our authentic selves.

No Worry - I won’t worry, and I will do my best not to cause others worry.  Worry produces nothing positive, but can create a lot of negatives.  This doesn’t excuse us from having a Plan A and a Plan B, or making correct choices so as to not bring about situations that might cause us to worry.  But worry in and of itself is a useless waste of precious energy.  Causing others undue worry is the same as causing others anger.  We should avoid doing it when possible.

Be Grateful - I will be grateful for the positives.  On a really bad day, it may be hard to find the positives, but seek them out nevertheless.  And do something nice for someone else - give them something to be grateful for, too.

Work Hard - I will put my whole self into what I am doing.  Whether it’s my spiritual practice, my job, washing dishes, visiting a loved one in the hospital, reading to a child, exercising or walking the dog.  These activities are the things that our daily life is made of.  Even drudgery like doing the laundry (I actually like doing laundry, but most people think I’m weird) is still an honorable task.  When you’re fortunate enough to be doing things you feel good about, work hard at those things too - even if it’s napping on the beach!

Be Kind - I will be kind to all creatures.  Not just humans.  Not just the humans I like.  We are connected to all creatures and it’s our honor and duty to treat each other with respect and kindness.  It feels good.  I know that sometimes it’s hard to be kind to someone if you have negative feelings towards them.  Just put that effort out there.  It may make a difference and even if it doesn’t, you tried.

Seems so simple.  And these 5 Principles of Reiki have been repeated in so many different ways and been set forth in so many other places as well.  These concepts aren’t new.  But if you really try to internalize them and practice them, they will make a difference in your life.

Reiki Treatment Criticized By Some

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

Reiki is a natural healing therapy. This method of healing is usually subject to a lot of criticisms the same way other related practices of alternative medicine are. However, it has been a successful form of natural healing for a very long time. It also hasn’t received any negative reports pertaining to the effects of receiving this treatment. Due to the popularity of this method of treatment, it has gained the trust of the public and a number of people advocate that it has helped them with amazing results.

The Question Asked ‘Is Natural Healing Enough?’

Many medical practitioners and members of the professional medical community find it alarming that individuals who receive any form of natural treatment (and other alternative medicinal therapies) might abandon conventional procedures. Since this issue is one of concern and continually raised, a number of reiki practitioners have begun advising individuals that receive their treatment to also look into professional or conventional medical assistance if they so desire.

You may also have heard some critics unfavorably describe it as a way of communicating with “Satan” or another form of delivering occult practices. To be fair, this issue should be viewed in a subjective manner, since it is not established or directly associated with any kind of religion.

For or Against Alternative Therapies

Whether you agree or disagree with any alternative therapy, the choice is yours. What works for one person does not always work for another. Every person is different, even though every human body is composed of antibodies that actually help in self-healing and immunity. Reiki follows the principles of the mind and is attributed to what is called the placebo effect. It’s not an unhealthy practice for the patient. It is pure energy and when the desire to be healed is sincere the benefits and results are worth any criticism made.
