All alternative and complimentary therapies work to balance the energy of the body. Each imbalance in each individual resonates at a different frequency, even though it may be the same allopathic diagnosis. Therefore, individuals may respond differently to similar treatments. What works for some, may not work as well for others; or could work even better.
